Jason Yang, undergraduate researcher in Meny’s group was recently selected to receive the Goldwater scholarship for distinction in STEM. Jason is majoring in chemical engineering, has conducted research on membrane technology at the water-energy nexus with the group for semesters, under the guidance of Ines Zucker (Alumni, former Postdoc) and Ryan DuChanois (Current member, Ph.D. candidate).
Goldwater Scholars have academic and research credentials that have gained the attention of prestigious post-graduate fellowship programs. This year, there is an estimated pool of over 5,000 college sophomores and juniors who were nominated by over 400 academic institutions to compete for the 2020 Goldwater scholarships.
